Ozonator Repair

Ozonator Repair

In general, I do not see a lot of ozonators any more. I used to see them all the time, ... disconnected from the pool equipment, and not in use. I saw them on spas much more frequently. These days, I do not see them in use ANYWHERE. That said, you might have an old spa, or an even older pool, that you inherited.

So how do you get it up and running? Well, first off, understand that the reason no one is using these in the United States anymore, is that they never did much even new, and working properly. The levels "Allowed" for Ozone in the U.S. are about 100 times less than those in use in some foreign countries (Then they use extractors to remove the Ozone before the water makes it back into the pool.) The levels allowed here really don't do anything of value.

If it were my pool, or a clients pool, rather than invest in a new ozonators, as most parts are unserviceable even for a pool man, I would simply remove it, and put wire nuts on the wiring, and a plug in the opening to the plumbing where the lines go into the pool equipment.
