Maintenance Normal maintenance for a Push/Pull Backwash valve involves pulling the valve apart approximately every 4-6 months, and using a silicone Lubricant (Lube, not sealant) designed for usage on o-rings on the o-rings and on the inside of the housing as well. Once a year, an o-ring replacement kit should be purchased and installed. (Silicone LUBE lasts longer and does a superior job of keeping valves working properly, longer. Normal maintenance for a Dial Backwash valve: There isn't any. Nor is there anything that a home owner can service. Sorry, but, if you have a problem, even most pool repair companies cannot effectively repair this type of valve. |
